New Passport Assignment

To get your new passport, you’ll need to bring the following items:

  1. Proof of Citizenship: This could be your birth certificate, naturalization certificate, or previously issued passport.

  2. Identification: A government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license or state ID card.

  3. Passport Photo: Everyday clothing such as collard shirts and plain t-shirts are appropriate for passport photos. Avoid wearing tank tops, and no white. – Uniforms cannot be worn in passport photos. – Hats are only permitted if they are worn for religious reasons. You can bring your photo or have your photo taken. There is a charge for the photo in addition to your application and processing.

  4. Passport Application Form: You can typically fill this out online and print or obtain it from the library and fill out.

  5. Payment: Bring the necessary fee for your passport application and any additional services you may require.Submit a check (personal, certified, cashier’s, traveler’s) or money order payable to “U.S. Department of State. You cannot pay using a credit or debit card.

  6. Additional Documents: Depending on your circumstances, you may need additional documents such as a marriage certificate or parental consent if you’re a minor.
