2024 Festival Dates: September 6-14

Silverton Creates! is a week-long celebration showcasing our local artists and creatives. More than 30 fun and unique crowd-sourced activities are happening all week long including art workshops, demonstrations, heritage tours, live music, film screenings, dance/movement arts, lectures, a youth art exhibition, Maker’s Market and more! Come join us for crisp mountain air, vibrant fall foliage and this uniquely Silverton creative experience!

FREE CONCERTS

JAZZ IN THE PARK

Friday, September 6th, 7:30 - 9:30 pm @ Anesi Park

Featuring the Burque Jazz Bandits

Enjoy an enchanting evening of Jazz In The Park featuring the swinging sounds of the Burque Jazz Bandits! Based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico, the Burque Jazz Bandits bring you fun danceable music inspired by 1920's-40's swing jazz, with toe-tapping rhythms, sizzling instrumentals, and passionate vocals. Cash bar featuring specialty cocktails crafted just for the evening, plus wine, beer, and cider. Food trucks on site. Free and family-friendly. Jazz in the Park is produced by Silverton Creative District, presented by Town of Silverton and sponsored by Teller House Hotel.

IT’S A STRING THING

Sunday, September 8th, 2 - 3 pm @ Silverton Town Hall

Featuring The Anvil Quartet

Presenting the debut performance of Silverton’s own Anvil Quartet, featuring musicians Rebekah Soued-Weaver (violin), Derek Edwards (violin), Samantha Wright (viola) and Ash Hershey (cello). They will perform a selection of classical, film, and Americana pieces at Silverton’s historic Town Hall. Admission is free, but a suggested donation of $10 will be put towards the Silverton School Music Program to train the next generation of musicians.

A recital of the violin students of Rebekah Soued-Weaver and piano students of Lacey Black will follow at 3:30 pm.

SILVERTON SUMMER SOUNDS

Friday, September 13th, 6 - 9 pm @ Memorial Park

Featuring Baracutanga

Join us for the finale of our Summer Sounds concert series with the sizzling Latin rhythms of Baracutanga! Baracutanga is a seven-piece band, representing four different countries (Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru, USA), that blends South American ancestral traditions with a modern sensibility, whose exciting and distinct Latin flavor keeps crowds dancing and always wanting more. The local opening act for the evening is Brookside. Cash bar and food trucks on site. Free and family-friendly. Summer Sounds is produced by Silverton Creative District and presented by Town of Silverton.

MAKER’S MARKET

VENDORS - MUSIC - FOOD - LIBATIONS - FUN!

Saturday, September 14th, 11 am - 6 pm @ Memorial Park

This free and family-friendly event is the culmination of the week-long Silverton Creates! arts festival and features arts & crafts vendors, food trucks, libations, kids activities, face painting, hula performances, circus arts and live music throughout the day. Mark your calendars now and plan to join us for a day filled with local art, handmade goods, live music and good times!
