Parent Teacher Book Club

We’re reading Raising Mentally Strong Kids by Daniel Amen and Charles Fay, exploring strategies to help children develop resilience, confidence, and emotional well-being. Each meeting, we’ll discuss six chapters, creating space for meaningful conversations and shared growth.

Silverton Skinny

Silverton Mountain and Cosmic Ski Present: 

The SILVERTON SKINNY
THIS IS A 2 PERSON TEAM RACE!
(There are no solo divisions/racers allowed due to mountain protocol. Additionally there is ZERO groomed terrain at Silverton Mountain. Thus if you do not have backcountry or off-piste ski experience we cannot reccommend this race. Or please make a trip to Silverton to sample the terrain! )

The race will have a Race Division, Recreation Division and a Juniors Division.

The Race class will have approximately 8000 vertical feet of climbing.
The Rec class will have approximately 3500-4000 vertical feet of climbing.
Juniors will follow the Rec course.
Course preview and discounted lift tickets will be available Thursday April 3, Friday April 4th, and Sunday April 6th. FOR RACERS ONLY!

Ride new lines, make new friends, learn new backcountry skills, and demo the latest gear at this 12th annual gathering of the splitboard community in snowy Silverton, Colorado sponsored by Venture Snowboards! This year’s event is scheduled for April 11th – 13th, 2025 at Kendall Mountain Recreation Area in Silverton, CO. We are striving to create the same great sense of camaraderie as in years past, and are once again involving a host of different gear manufacturers, avy educators and split nerds to continue making Silverton Splitfest a true gathering of the splitboard community.

Brewski at Silverton Mountain

Join us on Saturday, April 12th for Brewski! This event offers participants a full day of skiing at Silverton Mountain and an afternoon of beer tasting with half a dozen or more of Colorado’s favorite breweries. Participating breweries soon to be announced! The day begins at 9:00 am with Unguided Skiing – If you are not an Unguided Season Pass holder your may buy your unguided ticket and even entry package here. Tasting beginning at 2:30 PM… $20 Includes pint glass, tastings, and entry fee. Package for the day will include lift ticket and Brewski entry.

Silverton Summer Sounds - June

Join us under the stars every second Friday of the month from June through September!

Summer Sounds 2025 is a free open-air music series produced by Silverton Creative District. This family-friendly event features libations, food and free live music in Memorial Park (1800 Greene Street). Concerts take place at 6 pm every 2nd Friday of the month from June through September with two high caliber musical acts at each show.

The show goes on RAIN OR SHINE so please come dressed for the weather. Feel free to bring camp chairs or picnic blankets to sit on. No outside alcohol or dogs are allowed. Please note that Memorial Park is a drug, smoke and vape free zone.

Andy "AA" Atha Gelande Ski Jump Event

This free event features an inaugural Gelande ski jump competition, followed by a BBQ. A Gelande is a ski jump off a natural ramp while wearing alpine skis and boots.

Gather at Molas Lake Campground (competitors at 8:30 am and spectators at 9 am). Follow the signs to walk, ski, snowshoe or snowmobile up to the jump site. (There will also be a limited capacity for snowcat transportation, see registration site).
