Mushroom Foraging Hike

  • Andrews Lake Upper Parking Lot Forest Road 590A CO, 81301 United States (map)

Join Evan, a longtime naturalist with SJMA’s summer camps, on a mushroom foray to learn about the incredible edible bounty that grows in our region. This is a mushroom forage for beginners – no experience or equipment required! You’ll learn how to ID a few mushroom species, how to forage in a sustainable way, and what you need to start foraging on your own. We may hike moderately difficult terrain up to 5 miles.

Cost: Free, but donations greatly appreciated!

What to Bring: Wear comfortable hiking clothing & shoes appropriate for the weather. Bring snacks and we also welcome you to bring lunch to picnic with us after the event. Bring your friends and family! No dogs please, this hike won’t be a good fit for our furry friends!

Registration is required. Register at https://sjma.org/event/mushroom-hike-2024/
