Be a part of “Silverton Creates!”

Silverton Creative District (SCD) is pleased to announce that planning is underway for a new signature event coming up in September 2023. “Silverton Creates: A Celebration of the Arts” will be held September 8-10, with a variety of arts-based activities happening throughout town all weekend long.

We are looking for individuals and organizations that can help to plan and execute events of their own design during the weekend.  We are particularly looking for events that include the following (creative) elements:

Visual arts and crafts  ~   Performing arts   ~ Culinary arts ~ Brewing/distilling  ~ Design  ~ Film & media  ~ Healing arts   ~ Literature and publishing  ~ Heritage

Silverton Creates! will be marketed regionally and all of the weekend’s festivities will be incorporated into a published event schedule.  The events to be included can be as simple or complex as you like.  Some ideas could be author’s readings, theater or dance performances, public art demonstrations, workshops, food/drink tastings, movement classes and more.  Events could be used to give visibility to your organization or business or just to celebrate the arts and boost Silverton’s creative economy.
